International Companies have to adapt their products to local markets. Some companies vary the recipe of this famous products in different markets in order to be acepted for eveybody.Companies like Domino´s is trying to adapt their products to each local market. For example, they have created different kinds of pizza with different flavors in different markets.

When an International Company make an advertisement it has to be adapted to the market in order to be accepted for the target goal.

International marketers have found that because a product plays in X country, that doesn't mean it will be a hit in another country.

MOVIE SYNOPSIS

THE DARK KNIGHT

In Gotham city, all of the criminals are afraid of Batman. The Joker makes the bad guys listen to him and end Batman’s life so they can run the city again.

Harvey Dent puts criminals in jail and is becoming more and more in a problem. Finally, the joker makes Batman choose between saving his love of his life or Harvey Dent who can keep criminals in jail. Batman chooses Harvey Dent and the girlfriend dies. This makes Harvey change into a bad person, a killer. Batman has to now stop Harvey and The Joker who is planning his biggest test on humanity. The test involves two boats that are filled with people, one good and one with bad people. They both are going to explode unless one chooses to explode the other.

The Joker wants to prove that people are crazy but in the end; neither group of people decides to hurt each other. Batman then saves both boats and catches Joker on time; however, he takes the guilt for Harvey Dent’s new image as a villain and allows the police to chase him out of town. Batman is now the city’s dark knight and a dead Harvey Dent is the city’s white knight who is the reason so many bad people were put in jail.

If everyone knew he became bad, everything would be lost.

Many times the music reflects the problem and concerns of a society. With the music we can express feels and wishes. The main target of Pop Music have been normally kids and teenagers because normally the lyrics in Pop Music are written for young people. Today people are looking for songs with interesting lyrics and the singers are writing music about being in touch with the values.

I don’t have favorite song but some songs remind me important moments in my life. There is a group that is my favorite called The Beatles.  They have been and will be an icon in the world. They changed the way of music becoming music reference for musicians and lovers rock. They had an important impact on the world and they have influence on Pop Culture and Rock Music.

The book that I chose was Globalization vs. Americanization. This reading make me think about this topic and how important is to see the difference. Globalization is communication between the different countries of the world to unify their markets, societies and cultures. The media, literature, sports, all it could contribute to the individual is integrated into the world and feel they belong to a community without borders. Globalization is not the same as Americanization. Sometimes it’s hard for Americans to see the difference because they know that they have had big contributions to the world. The United States has contributed with a lot of advances in the world, but we live in one world and there is a transnational revolution taking place in front of our eyes.

My poster talks about the main attractions in my country Venezuela. Venezuela is a country with beautiful places to visit, with friendly people always willing to help others. My poster shows the typical food of my country, as well as important places. My poster shows how Venezuelans have also adopted many American traditions and activities and we are nearby countries, among them we can mention some celebrations like Halloween food like hot dogs, music, dance.

           Pop Culture is the combination of interests and activities that a group of people could share. It could affect my life because I’m part of a society and I live in it. I share interests and activities with people like me and its part of the Pop Culture. People manifest their behavior in interpersonal relationships where we can find the four components of pop culture: objects, people, events and places.

  

           Definitely my life has changed since I arrived in USA first because I’m learning a new language (English) in order to improve my knowledge and communicate my ideas to another people around the world because English is one of the most important languages in the world. Second, since I arrived here I have had a lot of experiences in this wonderful country of opportunities because I have meet different kind of people with different culture and manners which is nice to improve my own culture. 

           This class has contributed to learn a lot of things about American Culture and culture around the world. Now I know more about how is the behavior of Americans and I could compare it with another culture in different countries. It was very interesting because we are living in a globalized world and the first phase of globalization has been accompanied by migration. 

          Globalization is communication between the different countries of the world to unify their markets, societies and cultures. Globalization has made us need to contact people from other countries in real time. Because I’m living in this country I feel part of this community. I’m immersed in this society every day sharing my knowledge and experiences with people around the world.
